DJI software update brings new tricks to its drones - johnsonyousterromme
Drone maker DJI is adding new features to some of its drones done a software update that should reach them easier to aviate.
The update, which will be available on Sept. 7, comes as the drone industriousness is looking to make the craft easier and safer to rainfly to attract more novice users.
The new flight modes take some of the complexity out of flight and volition be available for the Phantom 3 and Inspire 1.
They admit:
- Waypoints – Likened to a co-original, the pilotless aircraft will mechanically fly to a series of set waypoints in the sky at a customizable speed. The angle of the camera can be adjusted while on the flight of steps and, once finished, the precise flight can equal saved so it butt embody repeated with the Saami waypoints and camera angles.
- Point of interest – The drone will automatically fly around a nominal point at a preset peak and radius, keeping the camera angled and then the point remains in the focus of the frame.
- Follow me – The drone will follow a pharos signal emitted aside a smartphone. This is intended for use in sports, when the drone of necessity to stick to a target (usually a person) with little or nary manual control. This mode is only available on the Phantom 3 Professional, Hi-tech and Standard.
